HOPE GIVERS is an Emmy Award Winning show for tweens and teens spotlighting hope and resilience across America. A first of its kind, it is an easily adaptable library of content for audiences at no cost, and aligned to national standards for students in grades 6-12. Episodes showcase real stories, student reporter segments, youth self-care activities, student produced films, and musical performances from Atlanta’s thriving music industry. In each episode, our resident mental health professional, Dr. Toral Fadia (she/her), provides breakdowns to help facilitate conversations between students, parents, and educators. Themes include resilience, connectedness, peer-to-peer support, advocacy, goal-setting, disability, inclusivity, and having a trusted adult.

Hope Givers does exactly what it says: gives hope. Whether a child is battling a tough environment or an internal struggle, this series provides insight, advice, and skills needed to overcome their adversities.
— Adam R. Kowalczyk, John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School (Augusta, GA)

My daughter (11) has been suffering from depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation. She was hospitalized this past summer. It was really hard for me to talk about at first when we were so fragile, and we aren’t out of the woods yet, but hearing others’ stories is helpful. The segments on self-care were so helpful, especially the ones about affirmations. Seeing other kids her age talk about what they do for self-care made her realize that it truly is something she should do.
